Phew…..I’ve got 2 weeks holiday and boy am I grateful for this. As usual I leave taking the bulk of my holidays towards the end of the year end and then umm and ahh over whether I should go somewhere abroad or have a staycation. I could have done either really but I when it comes to booking holidays I hate it….it’s a chore. I love the end result of course but I just want someone to do it for me. Gosh I’m so lazy aren’t I? Well ok so that wasn’t the only reason I decided to stay at home….again. I figured I really wanted to spend some time catching up with blogging, my photos and the like so that I can keep up with my crazy schedule I promised otherwise I feel like I’m a hamster on a wheel.
But is that a break I hear you say……..yes 100%. My blog is my creative outlet and I love giving it the time and energy that I do. From the lovely comments to that sense of satisfaction for every blog post that gets published, to translating my vision through my photographs, it really brings a sense of personal fulfilment. If I’m not working on it I feel odd, does anyone else get that?
Plus you all know how I love this time of the year. I get the chance to have lazy mornings, cozy nights in, catch up with friends and family and of course lets not forget the shopping! It’s also a great time for me to take stock, revisit those goals and look back on the year to see how far I have come. The new year inevitably brings new beginnings, change and challenges so it’s best to get that rest now so those aromatherapy oils are definitely going to come in handy (see my post here) and I also get to put into practice those tips on caring for me for a change (see my recent post on this here).
