Hand washing, hand sanitiser and the general stress of lockdown has had my skin a lot more drier than usual. Where maybe previous products did wonders, my skin is reacting differently now so there’s been a need to change things up. That’s why these new products from YOPE couldn’t have come at a better time. Whilst not a brand I’d previously heard of, it’s just what I was on the lookout out for.

Founded in 2015, YOPE is a husband and wife team. It specialises in an array of personal care and cleaning products from shower gels, liquid soaps, hand and body lotions and shampoo and conditioner to washing up liquids and all-purpose cleaners.

My skin has been soaking up all the benefits of the Cedarwood & Bitter Orange Natural Revitalising Shower Gel; earthy and fresh in aroma and above all nourishing on the skin. Some shower gels leave my skin with dry patches, but this is a gentle ph-balanced formula with no dryness in sight. And it doesn’t skimp on giving that refreshing feeling either.

The products are made with affordability and sustainability in mind and at the heart of its branding is gentle, skin-safe products with at least 90% natural ingredients and there’s even a skincare range for kids too.

Next is something from YOPE’s Linden Line series. This range is inspired by the scent of linden blossoms and is sold at Waitrose. What’s more, in an effort to protect and rebuild the natural habitats that honey bees thrive on, 5% of profits from Linden Hand Soap and Linden Shower Gel supplied to Waitrose supermarkets is donated to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust.

I’ve been trying the Linden Natural Liquid Soap and I can honestly say my hands feel squeaky clean and super soft all day. This is probably due to the plant extracts-from linseed, linden, marigold and chamomile flowers which have anti-inflammatory and soothing properties.

Lastly, the Vanilla & Cinnamon Natural Moisturising Hand & Body Lotion is that winter skincare essential. The ideal combination of vanilla and cinnamon makes for a heart-warming scent. Rich and buttery but super absorbent, I can see myself using this to the last drop.

YOPE are ever so generous with their packaging so there is great value for money in their range. It also gives that feeling of being a genuine, down to earth brand. I am very impressed with this skincare range – in fact, my skin is thanking me for it. If you are interested, YOPE is stocked at Waitrose, After Beauty and Feelunique.

So what do you think of these products?
