• What’s In My Makeup Bag and a Farfetch.com Wish List

    a new makeup bag 21

Another week, another makeup bag.  Well actually not quite, this adorable little number was a very thoughtful Christmas present from a friend and rather than just stare and admire it from afar, I figured I should be using it too.  It’s also well-timed because I received an email from Farfeth.com about their newly launched beauty section in collaboration with Space NK, and whether I would be interested in sharing the contents of my makeup bag alongside a wish list from their beauty section.*

It didn’t take much persuading as we all know how much I love to share all things makeup and beauty with my readers and their collaboration with Space NK is music to my ears.   For those of you that don’t know, Farfetch.com was founded in 2008 and is a global community of over 400 fashion boutiques located everywhere from Paris to New York to Milan and Riyadh, offering an online shopping experience to its consumers.

As you can see, unlike my earlier “What’s in My Makeup Bag” post, I’ve condensed things down somewhat as I realised I didn’t need to carry around 6 lip products with me!  Instead I’ve been using my new Nars Audacious Lipstick in Bridgette which is a lovely natural pink and great for everyday.  My beloved Chance Chanel is a classic old favourite of mine which I have been turning to quite a bit lately and the Boots Skin Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets and the Nivea Pearl & Beauty 48hr Anti-Perspirant are the basic essentials I never go without.  Of course lastly some hairbands for a just in case emergency hair moment are a must.

And the wish list from Farfetch…..?

Well with brands like Becca, Oskia, By Terry, Ren and so many more to choose from the list is endless really. However, the one thing I realised is that the contents of my makeup bag are very day / office appropriate but sometimes if I am out in the evening and want to spruce things up a bit it’s great to carry around some beauty items that will quickly take me from a day to night look in seconds, so below is my wish list for just that.

    1.  The Chantecaille HD Perfecting Powder.  I think this translucent HD powder would be great at mattifying the skin giving it a flawless finish and anything from this premium brand is always on my wish list.

    2. By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Beyond Gold.  I’m a huge fan of these stick cream eyeshadows and this gold one would be great for adding that sparkle to the lids or used as an inner corner highlight – the perfect way to glam things up a bit.

    3. For an extra bit of definition and an endless array of eye looks at my disposal the Hourglass Modernist Eyeshadow Palette in Obscura is great as it has some beautiful bronze and brown shades plus I could use the lightest colour as a highlighter on the face as well as the eyes.

    4. Lastly, you all know how much I love a red lip and Lipstick Queen’s Fire Red Sinner is something I know I need!   The formulations of these lipsticks are amazing and I can only imagine how beautiful this colour would be.

So do you think these items are great for a day to night look and what would you have on your wish list from the beauty section of Farfetch.com? x
