I’ve always gravitated towards the colour peach. There’s just something about this soft hue that makes it so appealing as it is both subtle and vibrant all at the same time. In fact, there is nearly always a hint of peach in most of the products I own, especially when it comes to blushers and lipsticks, so I thought I’d narrow down some of my all time favourite peach products for you.
Firstly in the blusher and highlighter department on the left above, I have the Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Peach Whisper. I think the name sums it up pretty well really and this is a true peach which gives a lovely flush to the cheeks. In the middle is the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact in Nectar. This definitely packs a punch in the highlighting department and the peachy golden hues are great for warming up your complexion. Mac’s Sheertone Shimmer Blush in Peachykeen is a darker peachy pink which is very pigmented and a great one for perking up winter skin.
Now I actually have a ton of peach lip products but these are the ones that I turn to the most. In terms of the lipsticks, on the left the Bobbi Brown Lip Colour in Salmon is a pale peach and the most nude of the three. It works well on those with yellow undertones and if all else fails it’s a great mixing colour. The Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lip Colour in Belize is my most turned to lipstick of late. It’s a coral with peach undertones and has a gorgeous barely there shimmer running through it which translates beautifully on the lips – definitely worth checking out. Another Bobbi Brown favourite and repurchase is the Creamy Matte Lipstick in Pale Peach. The formulation is amazing – this is my mixing colour and I LOVE it. Lastly, you can’t go wrong with the Nars Lipgloss in Orgasm, which provides a beautiful sheen to the lips.
Peach eyeshadow can be difficult to carry off as if you get it wrong it can make your eyes look a bit swollen, but Mac’s Arena just works in every way because it has a golden undertone and when paired with a dark brown blended on the outer corners and through the crease the combination is just heavenly.
Lastly, who doesn’t love a bit of peach on the nails? My favourites are Tanya Burr’s Peaches and Cream (the colour is true to its name) and OPI’s Sweet Daisy from the Carrie Underwood collection which is a orangey peach and always gets me lots of compliments when I wear it.
I suppose I could go on for ever but these are probably the most peach of them all and so universally flattering that I can never see myself tiring of these items. So, have you tried any of these before and which colour do you have the most of in your makeup collection?
