For a while now I’ve been battling with finding the right shampoo and conditioner for my hair. Even though there are brands I’ve loved in the past, there comes a point when my hair starts to get used to things and everything stops working on my hair in the way it used to – does anyone else get that?
That’s why I regularly change things up and it never hurts to try something new. I’m no stranger to Grow Gorgeous hair products but only in so far as I have read many positive reviews online and knew it was something I wanted to try. That’s why I was excited to have been given some products from the Grow Gorgeous Volumising range to test out and luckily my hair has been loving these.
I’ve been using the Grow Gorgeous Full-Bodied Volumising Shampoo * £15 and the Grow Gorgeous Full Bodied Volumising Leave-in Conditioner * £16. I’m always about volume in the hair and this range repairs and cares for the hair whilst plumping up skinny strands. The key ingredient is pea peptides, which help to build up each strand and works over time too so you’ve always got that full-bodied effect.
The shampoo has like a tea tree type smell to it (probably the best way I can describe it). It’s not one that lathers up massively, but it works well and like any shampoo, I like to use it twice to make sure I get a really good clarifying effect. After towel drying my hair as normal, I follow up with the conditioner.
I prefer leave-in conditioners, more for the time and hassle-free aspect than anything else, but up until now hadn’t found anything that I liked. This one has a serum-like texture and you apply 3-5 pumps throughout your hair. Now that’s a massive plus for me because most conditioners I use are best used on the mid-lengths, but it’s the roots that need the most attention for me.
Like the shampoo, the conditioner also contains pea peptides as well as a unique blend of amino acids which bind the hair cuticles, resulting in shine as well as volume. Both products really do live up to their claims in my opinion and what I love even more is that the conditioner does an excellent job at controlling my frizz too.
The result is hair that has texture and grip without feeling gritty, lots of shine and above all volume. As someone who is always teasing their hair, that’s what this range is designed to do, you can just rustle your hair back into shape.
As you can tell I am very happy with this range and I don’t need to use any other additional volumising products when I use this as I just don’t need it. I highly recommend trying this out and if you are interested in their products or this range, then check out the Grow Gorgeous website here.
So have you tried this before?
