• A New Addictive Perfume: Elie Saab Girl of Now

I think perfume is one of the most feminine accessories a woman owns.  It’s certainly the finishing touch to my getting ready routine that without I feel like something is missing.  In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever gone without perfume.  I love how you can associate a memory and a feeling with a scent and how some scents make me feel glamorous, whilst others warm and cozy.

That’s why I can’t stick to just one perfume and like to have a few, or should I say, quite a few in my collection. Surprisingly though, I haven’t bought a new perfume in a while.  Sure, I’ve been taking a little detour to the perfume counters and testing a few here and there, but nothing was taking my fancy as they all just smelt a bit samey to me.

That was until I discovered the new Elie Saab Girl of Now Eau de Parfum.  Yes it was the jewelled like bottle that had my attention, but this perfume is just divine and unlike anything else that I have in my collection.

Girl of Now, a distinctive floral gourmand, celebrates and highlights successful women around the world.  The design of the bottle is very reminiscent of Elie Saab’s haute couture collection and is adorned with gorgeous blue and gold enamelled flower petals.

The fragrance is inspired by Lebanese delights and opens with notes of roasted pistachio and pear.  This is followed by bitter almond and orange blossom at the heart, which have been uniquely blended together to create an exclusive note called the Ormond Flower.  At the base of this fragrance is a warm and sensual trail of almond milk, tonka bean and patchouli.

To me this fragrance is perfection.  It’s a stunning concoction and hugely addictive.  I absolutely adore the almond note and that’s the winner for me especially as it is blended so beautifully.  Many gourmands, especially with notes like this can be quite heady or sickly sweet, but there’s a softness to this scent whilst still being something you can very much smell throughout the day.  I can even smell this on me the following morning, which given I love this one, I’m not complaining!

From the design of the bottle and it’s colour, through to the fragrance itself, this perfume exudes elegance and has made me one happy bunny. It’s certainly my new perfume addiction and I can see myself wearing this all through winter.  Plus it looks gorgeous on my dressing table, so what’s not to love?

So, have you tried this before?  What do you think?
