Eyebrow pencils and products are not the most exciting of things to buy but so important as there’s nothing worse than unruly brows. After my Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil and my Charlotte Tilbury Brow Lift Eyebrow Pencil snapped, I used it as an excuse to try something different and the Benefit Gimme Brow Volumising Eyebrow Gel and The Precision Brow Pencil by Kevyn Aucoin are working very well for me both together and individually.
At least I know with the Benefit Gimme Brow that this isn’t going to snap in half or anything and this cute little tinted brow gel creates a natural fullness and thickness to the brows as it has tiny micro fibres which adhere to the skin and the hairs. The wand is tiny too which makes application so much easier, ensuring that you only stick to applying this where you need it. This brow gel is available in 3 different shades – light, medium and deep. I have the medium shade and as well as imparting a natural looking tint and fullness, it keeps the brows in place too.
The Precision Brow Pencil by Kevyn Aucoin is a super fine pencil ideal for creating extra definition and shaping the brows. I generally find that the finer the pencil, the more time it takes me to do my brows in the morning, but a few fine strokes of this and I’m good to go. I guess it helps that it also comes with a spoolie on one end as this smoothes out any harsh lines and grooms the brows. I have the shade brunette which is a tad light on me but workable and when paired with the Benefit Gimme Brow it is a perfect match but there are also 3 other shades available – Ash Blonde, Warm Blonde and Dark Brunette.
I have to say I’m kinda glad that my existing products snapped on me as I found two products I think are even better….isn’t it great when that happens?! So, have you tried these two before? x
