• Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler Vs Japonesque Power Curl Eyelash Curler

    EYELASH CURLERS

Curling your lashes with what looks like a surgical tool that could do more pain than good may seem like a faff to some but honestly it’s like second nature to me now and a step I very rarely miss.

At first I used to just stick to the cheapest Boots had to offer but with so many rave reviews on the Shu Uemura eyelash curlers (the gold one on the right) it was only a matter of time before I purchased these.

Now the normal thing to do would be to just stop there but then I’d heard mention of a close contender – the Japonesque Power Lash Eyelash Curler (the silver one on the left).  This isn’t really a brand I had heard of before but when I stumbled upon a concession at my local John Lewis, out of pure curiosity I parted with my cash and walked away with another eyelash curler that I didn’t really need.

Whilst on the face of it there is very little difference between the two, they both even come at the same price of £20, I actually prefer the Japonesque ones.  Maybe it’s my eye shape but it sits a bit better around my eye, it feels more comfortable and even with just one squeeze the curl is amazing that sometimes I can afford to miss out mascara altogether.

Now the fact is whatever you go for I do think it’s worth investing that bit more on some good eyelash curlers.  You’ll get a lasting curl which makes mascara application that much easier, there’s no pain, no pinching and every eyelash is curled – sorted.

I do alternate between the two but I have to say it’s the Japonesque eyelash curlers that come up trumps for me…..sorry Shu Uemura.
