    Fragrances to cozy up to….

Blankets, cozy knits, spicy candles and delicious perfumes  – I just can’t get enough.  I even find perfume smells that much better in the winter.  There’s nothing I like more than enveloping myself in my favourite winter fragrance.

Those fellow perfume addicts like myself will know what I mean by fragrances that suit a specific season and this time of the year is all about feeling nostalgic, warm and wrapped up. So sit back and relax as I share four cozy winter weather perfumes I’m currently addicted to.

    Some old-school classics

I’ve got two in this category. It’s no doubt that the old-school classics are the overdone mainstream perfumes that probably everyone has had in their collection at some point.  Admittedly I even went off these two for a while as they were just that bit too mainstream for my liking. However, fast forward several years and nostalgia has got the better of me; now I just can’t deny that they are timeless classics.

First up is D&G The One. It probably doesn’t get anymore old-school than this.  Yes the vanilla base has been replicated many a time but this, like it’s name suggests, is the one that tops it all. Easily identifiable this gives me those cozy vibes in an instant.

This heart-warming fragrance is a clever concoction of the floral notes of jasmine, lily of the valley and white lily with the more woodsy base notes of amber musk, vetiver root and vanilla. And it’s done to perfection.

The second of my old-school classics is Gucci Guilty.  This gives me all the smiles.  Although it’s a floral, oriental perfume, it has a warmth and sophistication about it that makes it perfect for the winter weather.

A fruity and floral opening and heart of cyclamen, lyche and mandarin as well as strawberry, lilac and orange blossom blends effortlessly with a musk, patchouli, and sandalwood base.  I could happily use this all year round but the colder weather really brings out the best in this perfume.

    The unusual one

Eau Duelle by Diptyque sure is unusual but no stranger to my blog. Not quite a gourmand, there’s a trail of sweetness grounded with a tantalising combination of cardamom, black tea, musk and bourbon vanilla which gives this perfume an edge like no other.

The aroma embodies cozy nights by the fireplace. And doesn’t that packaging look oh so Parisian? If you want to find out more check out this post here.

    The new one

I say new, but D&G The Only One isn’t new to the market but more new to my collection. Where The One is more soft and girly, The Only One is sexier – it’s sugar and spice and all things nice. It was love at first sniff and as you can tell I’m quickly getting through this.

A sure compliment grabber, the clever blend of coffee, violet blossom, patchouli and vanilla has me truly addicted.

So there it is, my all-time favourite perfumes to cozy up to this winter. What about you, what are your favourites? x
